House Levelers

New Orleans, Louisiana

The wild folk-punk trio House Levelers was formed in New Orleans in 1988. Pete Ficht (on bass) and Grayson Capps (on acoustic guitar) both wrote songs and sang lead vocals, with drummer Sterling Roig on harmonies. They released their sole album No Definitions in 1991 on Tipitina’s Records, produced by the legendary Jim Dickinson (Big Star, the Replacements). The band broke up at the end of 1992.
